Chair for dips and push-ups
Dips and push-ups are best for your core and in developing upper body strength. They also bulk your triceps up as well as your shoulders, back, and chest. Here’s how you can use a chair for dips and push-ups:
- Stand in front of a chair with your body away from the seat.
- Sit down on the edge with your hands near the edge of the seat as well.
- Lift your rear and walk a couple of feet forward.
- Do the dip as you would normally do by moving your body up and down. Support your weight with your arms.
- Do the same for push-ups but with your body facing the chair while you extend your legs. Another option is to do the push-ups with the
- legs on top of the chair with the body facing away from the chair.

Dumbbell squats are best in developing your quadriceps muscles and the gluteus maximus in the buttocks. It also helps in strengthening and toning your thighs and calves. Door frame for burpees
Burpees are best for burning calories. They target both upper and lower body strength and promote the development of endurance. Here’s how to do it using the door frame.
- Start with your usual push-up
- Hop feet towards hands while still on the floor.
- Jump up with arms stretched upwards and reach the top of the door frame.
- Land with hands back on the floor the hop backwards to push-up position.
- Repeat.
